They are all national charters aimed at self-determination in the regions. However, the Israeli Declaration of Independence (1948) is the official document emitted when Israel struggled for its independence. The Palestinian National Charter (1968) shows a year after the Arabs lost the Six Day War and when there was a shift in Palestinian thinking, and produced for the first time a demand for a Palestinian state. Also, the Hamas Covenant (1988) is a charter proclaimed by extremist Islamic organization with a goal of destroying the State of Israel through jihad. The clash of ideologies and values in the documents has led t the endurance of the Israeli-Palestine Conflict.
