The policy of collectivization was conducted in the territory of the Soviet Union under the rule of Joseph Stalin during the thirties of the twentieth century. Collectivization was aimed to create the specific collective farms by taking the land of peasants. The Soviet authority considered it to be an efficient way of increasing the amount of crops in the country. Such increasing drain of the natural resources from village lead to an adverse outcome. The villagers did not have any land as it was taken and controlled by the government, who eventually forced them to become the members of the collective farms. In essence, such policy was a strategic plan of the Soviet government to finance industrialization as the following stage of the country development. However, the Soviet government achieved no success as they did not indeed follow the principles of the industrial state.
