The African Initiated Churches(AIC)-It arose in the 1800 and was originally from Ethiopia.They taught that African churches should be under the control of people from Africa as opposed to missionaries from Europe and America.They have in modern day formed Protestant congregations and have united with other denominations.

Coptic Orthodox Church of Alexandria-It was started in the 1st century by a saint and an apostle known as St.Mark.It was based on the teaching and prophecies of the Old Testament.A Christian school was founded out of the church and unlike the African Initiated Churches the Coptic Orthodox of Alexandria embraced missionary teachings and invited them to teach them biblical studies.The school established under this church was not limited to theological studies but also science, mathematics and humanities were taught therefore embracing missionary teachings.
