Self-Compassionate Letter. Make a self-compassionate letter and make a
reflection paper about it.
My dearest self;
I hope this letter finds you well and that it does not disappoint you. We both enjoy henfruit - you know, eggs - but none of us could afford the best layer chicken. I believe you found it, a feather from the right kind of hen, and I told you that if you plant the feather, it will develop into a cbook. But it didn't succeed, and I believe you blamed me for it. I'm really sorry. I hope this helps. Hope you still love me because I still love myself.
Self compassion is the capacity to love and understand oneself. Accepting ourselves as we are, even though others do not and cannot accept us. We gain trust when we are compassionate to ourselves. We are mindful of our strengths and weaknesses. We know what we have and what we don't have. We pamper and respect ourselves enough to forgive ourselves and learn to fix our mistakes on our own. And it is this lack of self-compassion that plagues us. We lack self-compassion in the sense that we place more emphasis on others and place our satisfaction in the hands of others. For example, when a relationship fails, we sometimes ignore our own needs. We have forgotten how to live a happy life. We concentrate on the suffering rather than the lesson to be learned and moving on because we lack self-compassion.
Self-compassion gives us the courage to move on from our challenges and broken relationships. We learn to be content even though we are alone. We forgive ourselves, embrace the lessons of our mistakes, and move on. We achieve hope in our lives and learn to console ourselves because we have self-compassion.
I believe that when we have self-compassion, we become more autonomous, give more to ourselves, and are happier. This is something that each of us must learn, because whether we like it or not, at the end of the day, we just have ourselves to be with and run with.
