With multipoint Port fuel injection and single-point injection systems, the fud flow
rate is controlled by the injection pulse duration. If each injector operates continuously
at the maximum rated power point (wide-open throttle, A/F = 12, 5500
rev/min) of an automobile spark-ignition engine, estimate approximately the injcctlon
pulse duration (in crank angle degrees) for the same engine at idle. Idle conditions
are: 700 revlmin, 0.3 atm inlet manifold pressure, stoichiometric-mixture.
