How can you make a soap using cfas powder + s. hydroxde?
The production of soap involves continuous processes, such as continuous addition of fat and alkalies and removal of product. The glycerine is left during the hot-process method, but at the high temperature employed, the reaction is practically completed in the kettle, before the soap is poured into moulds. In chemistry, soap is a salt of a fatty acid. Lauryl alcohol is in turn usually derived from either coconut or palm kernel oil by hydrolysis, which liberates their fatty acids, followed by hydrogenation. The resulting product is then neutralized through the addition of sodium hydroxide or sodium carbonate (cfas powder + s. hydroxde). Sodium coco-sulfate is essentially the same compound, but made from less purified coconut oil. cfas is a good foaming agent in the soap.
