Alkanes with longer chain forms a stronger connections with neighboringmolecules
than alkanes with short connection. This is due to intermolecularinteraction For
example, ethane has a higher boiling point than methane since it has more Van
der Waals forces (intermolecular forces) with neighbouring molecules.
