A. Elements were arranged in increasing order of atomic mass
B. The cycle of repetition shown by elements is similar to octave in music
C. It could not hold good for elements heaver than calcium
D. Many radioactive elements have not been discovered then
Expert's answer
Answer: B

Law of octaves: if the chemical elements are arranged according to increasing atomic weight, those with similar physical and chemical properties occur after each interval of seven elements.

But this law didn’t work well for the elements heaver then Ca, also, newly discovered elements could not fit into the octave structure. But the reason why it was rejected by the Chemistry Society was that it was too similar to the octaves in music.
