Answer to Question #188842 in General Chemistry for Yolo

Question #188842

. While doing an experiment you realize that the procedure provides all the units of measurements as US customary units, but you only have instruments that measure SI units. The procedure says to dissolve 0.27 ounces sodium chloride into 3 cups water at 200°F for 3 minutes. (1 oz is equal to 28.35g and 1 cup is equal to 236.59 mL)

Ans:-

We have "0.27" ounces sodium chloride into "3"cups water at "200\u00b0F" for "3" minutes.

Also we have

"1 oz=28.35g\\\\\n0.27oz=0.27\\times28.35g=7.6545g\\\\\n1cup=236.59mL\\\\3cup=3\\times236.59=707.59mL\\\\1^0F=255.928K\\\\\n200^0F=200\\times255.928=51185.6K\\\\\n1min=60sec\\\\3min=3\\times60=180sec"

So

These whole numerical values changes into SI system

hence "7.6545g" sodium chloride into "707.59mL" water at "51185.6K" for "180sec" .

Now we doing whole the experiment in SI measurement because we have instruments that measure SI units.
