In normal cells, the cell cycle is controlled by a complex series of signaling pathways by which a cell grows, replicates its DNA and divides. There are certain check points which operate in normal cell cycle so that cell division and cell proliferation takes place within the limits. The loss of various check points occur in cell cycle of cancer cells so that growth and cell division becomes unlimited leading to cancer.
