Alpha helix is an example for secondary structure of proteins in which carbonyl group of one aminoacid is hydrogen bonded with N - H amino group of other aminoacid.This hydrogen binding gives the poly peptide a helical structure.In helical structure the poly peptide exhibits folding to form a helix.
