The fluid mosaic model describes the structure of the plasma membrane as a mosaic of components including phospholipids, cholesterol, proteins, and carbohydrates that gives the membrane a fluid character. This model was first given by Singer and Nicholson. Thus this model describes that plasma membrane is fluid made of fats and also consists of mainly proteins forming a mosaic like structure.
