Answer on Molecular Physics | Thermodynamics Question for Keneisha Wade
In Carno cycle instead of refrigerator was chosen water with 4°C. As thermal expansion coefficient with such temperature is equal to zero, for Carno cycle to happen the temperature should not be shown on the refrigerator, that is, thermal expansion coefficient is equal to one. Where is the mistake?
Answer1) If thermal expansion coefficient turned into zero during all isotherms, it could have matched adiabat and Carno cycle between temperature 4°C and any other could be implemented.
2) Indeed thermal expansion coefficient for water turns to zero only in one point of isotherm.
