Hello. I am in a class Introductions to Computers. In this class we have programming assignments through Visual Express for Desktop 2012. I need to know how to save my assignment as an "executable file". Can you help me with this?

To create executable file in Visual Studio 2012 you need to perform steps listed below:
1. Open your project.
2. There is Solution configuration drop-down list located in the Standard toolbar near the top menu. Its default value is Debug.Change it to Release.
3. Open Build menu on the top and click Build.
4. Your compiled project would be located in the bin/Release folder inside your project
folder.
The location of the build folder can be changed via project properties.
