First, green algae are lower plants which live in the water. Higher plants have been evolved from green algae, because they adapted to live in the soil.
Arguments that plants have evolved from green algae: they contain chlorophyll A and B, have rigid cell walls are formed in some species of cellulose, accumulate a reserve starch inside the plastid.
Common features of fungi and animals: they both reserve glycogen, cell walls contain chitin, a similar type of metabolism, the formation of secondary metabolites.
