the sight of Semyonich's tears, Aksionov weeps himself. Aksionov tells him that God will forgive him, and that perhaps he himself is a hundred times worse. Having said this, Aksionov feels a lightness enter his body. He no longer had any desire to leave the prison, but only hoped for his last hour to come.
